What is personal data policy?

AIA Investment Management (Thailand) Limited ("AIAIMT"), an indirect owned subsidiary of AIA Group Limited and a part of AIA Group Limited group of companies ("AIA Group"), and its affiliates ("AIA", "we", "us", "our") recognizes the importance of personal and other information about you. AIAIMT has as information security system and strict operating procedures in place, as well as information security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, use, or change of data, and to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 and other relevant laws and regulations.

What is personal data?

Personal data is data that enables your identification such as your name, surname, identification numbers, phone numbers, e-mails, addresses, date of birth, occupation, photographs, financial information, health & medical information, biometric data, voice recordings, and technical information of online traces and etc.

Why your personal data is collected ?

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Personal data is collected or may be used, disclosed or transferred for the following purposes: to offer, sell, provide, manage, and process our Products and Services to you; to follow the agreement between you and AIAIMT, to exercise any right under your investment; to communicate; to design or enhance Products and Services of AIAIMT; for market research; to follow the law and regulations and to meet requirements imposed by applicable laws.

When your personal data is shared

Personal data will be kept confidential but we may, where permitted by applicable law or where such disclosure is necessary to satisfy the purpose or a directly related purpose for which the personal data was collected, provide such personal data to the relevant parties.

Your rights with respect to personal data and point of contact

You have the right to:

verify whether AIAIMT holds any personal data about you, to access or obtain a copy of any such data, and/or to access information about how AIAIMT uses or discloses your personal data;
require AIAIMT to correct any personal data relating to you which is inaccurate;
request that the processing of your personal data be restricted under certain circumstances;
request deletion or destruction of your personal data under certain circumstances;
request a temporarily suspension of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances;
request transferring your personal data by obtaining your personal data from us if we organize such personal data in automatic machine-readable or usable format and can be processed or disclosed by automatic means including (a) to request us to send or transfer the personal data in such format directly to other data controllers if doable by automatic means; or (b) to request to obtain the personal data in such format sent or transferred by us directly to other data controller unless not technically feasible;
withdraw your consent or request a change to your scope of consent unless such rights are restricted by law or contract that benefits you ;
request deregistration or deletion of your registered account (if any);
make a complaint about AIAIMT's data handling; and
enquire about AIAIMT’s policies and practices in relation to personal data.

Investors must understand fund information, return characteristics, and fund’s risk before making investment decision.
Investment in mutual funds is not bank deposit; and contains investment risks. Investors may receive investment proceeds more or less than an initial investment; and may not receive the redemption proceeds within the stipulated timeframe.
Therefore, please carefully study and understand the funds’ prospectus, investment policy, fund features, performance, risks and other relevant information before making an investment decision. Investors should decide to invest in the funds within your acceptable risk level and suitable to your investment objective. Please retain the fund fact sheet and other relevant documents (eg. In case investors require additional information, documents, or any investment enquiry, please contact the Asset Management Company or the distribution agents appointed by the Asset Management Company.
For open-end funds, in extraordinary circumstances, investors may not receive the redemption proceeds within the stipulated timeframe; or in case of liquidity constraint, investors may not be able to redeem the investment units as your instruction.

For Retirement Mutual Fund (RMF), investors must strictly comply with investment conditions and other relevant conditions stipulated by the Revenue Department. Otherwise, investors shall not receive any tax benefits and/or may subject to withholding tax deduction or unable to receive a refund for the capital gains. In addition, investors must return all tax benefits received earlier to the Revenue Department within the stipulated timeframe; otherwise, fine and surcharge in accordance with Thailand Revenue Code may be applied.
As such, investors must keep the records of all relevant documents pertaining to RMF investments as valid evidence to affirm your tax benefits when being requested.
The Asset Management Company may invest in securities or assets for its own investment accounts similar to the investment for funds under its management. As such, the Asset Management Company has prepared work system that prevents conflict of interest to ensure fair treatment for the unitholders according to the notifications of Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC)
The Asset Management Company permits its staff to invest in securities for their own personal accounts; but require compliance with ethical standards and applicable announcements and guidelines that are issued by the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC). The staff are required to disclose such investment to the Asset Management Company in order to ensure proper compliance and monitoring of staff's securities dealing activities.
Investors may examine information which could affect investment decisions, such as Connected Persons transactions on the Asset Management Company’s website or the website of the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC) (http://www.sec.or.th).
Performance measurement of AIAIMT’s mutual funds shown on this website is prepared according to the performance measurement standard of the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC).
The dissemination of information and documents on this website is provided by the Asset Management Company in good faith based on the information that is believed to be reliable.
