COMPANY BACKGROUND
AIA Investment Management (Thailand) Limited (“AIAIMT”), founded in 2020, is a wholly-owned investment management company of AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance company with strong presence in 18 markets across Asia-Pacific region and has started its business in Thailand since 1938. Granted the license to operate securities and futures business from the Ministry of Finance, AIAIMT performs investment management business, under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to manage mutual funds and private funds as well as being a capital manager and advisor for futures transactions.
AIA Group upholds the principle of having clients’ interest as the central focus, we are therefore determined to develop innovative financial products and services that serve our clients’ needs and for our clients’ best interest. Therefore, AIA Group has set up AIA Investment Management (Thailand) Limited (“AIAIMT”) with the registered capital of THB 100 million, with the objective to manage mutual funds and investment capital from AIA Thailand’s unit-linked business according to the client’s stipulated investment allocation. To achieve our objective, we emphasize on understanding clients’ needs, select investment approach that best suits their needs, and determine investment policy and strategy that aligns with clients’ needs. We analyze macroeconomic situation, industry and sector trends, companies’ fundamental and technical analysis to identify investment opportunities. We utilize our in-depth analysis from AIA Group’s local and foreign Research capabilities to consider the timing for investment. We also utilize technology to increase the effectiveness of securities dealing and investment operations to reduce costs and enhance security.
Furthermore, we have prudent risk management process; and we consistently review and assess investment performance on a regular basis by our Thailand’s Management team and oversea investment partners. With all of these, our key objective is to ensure that our clients receive the best investment management service.
In addition, AIAIMT benefits from being part of AIA Group, who is well-experienced in managing more than USD 230 billion (or more than THB 7 trillion) worldwide assets, with investment experience in 18 countries around Asia by the specialized investment management team of more than 150 investment professionals. We have established good relationship with global leading investment management partners, leading to the success in setting up AIA Luxembourg Fund Platform, which is the key network that enables us to enhance our mutual funds and unit-linked potential and capabilities
